Stainless Steel Grade 301 is usually supplied in the form of Wires and Strips, with a tensile strength of up to 1800 Mpa, to produce tempers ranging from 1/16 Hard to Full Hard. Stainless Steel 301 features high strength and good ductility. Stainless Steel 301 has very good resistance against corrosion. Its high strength is available in many conditions and tempers
301 SS Full Hard Sheet has good resistance to oxidation at temperatures up to 1550°F, but 301 SS Sheet is not recommended for use above 1600°F. 301 SS Sheet is resistant to a variety of corrosive media. However, its corrosion resistance properties are not as good as the 18-8 chromium-nickel steels. Stainless Steel 301 is available in different hardness.
Stainless Steel 301 is ideal for its use in high wear resistance and spring features with simple form designs. Stainless Steel 301L is a low carbon form and has good ductility. Grade 301LN is another variant containing higher percentage of Nitrogen and and exhibits higher work rate compared to standard 301.
