Small amounts of copper are added to this high alloy, stainless steel UNS N08904 Material Bar to increase its resistance to potent reducing acids like sulfuric acid.
The 904L round bar stock also offers outstanding formability, increased durability, and exceptional weldability as additional positive attributes. Grade 904L stainless steels don't require pre-heating or post-welding heat treatments and can be welded using all traditional techniques. In its alloy, Grade 904L has a high concentration of pricey components like molybdenum and nickel. Because these resources are traded commodities, their prices are inherently unstable.
Our stainless steel 904L rods have good mechanical qualities, little carbide precipitation after welding, and great fabricability.
